I’m a Ph.D. Student in the Department of Earth and Planetary Sciences at The Johns Hopkins University. My advisor is Prof. Tom Haine. I hold a master’s degree in Ocean Sciences from University of Genoa where I worked with Dr. Marcello Magaldi.
I’m a physical oceanographer. I’m primarily interested in the dynamics governing the circulation of the Subpolar North Atlantic. To address the targets of my research I run high-resolution numerical simulations and I combine model outputs with available observations.
I’m leading the development of OceanSpy, a software that aims to enable scientists and interested amateurs to use oceanographic datasets as virtual sandboxes.
